TD Aesthetics was set up in Feb 2018 by Tawa Dowling, to provide a nurse-led aesthetic clinic in Kent. Tawa has been a qualified nurse for over 20 years, and has worked as a nurse in both the NHS and private sector, and as an inspector of hospitals within the government's health care regulator. Tawa also recently qualified as an independent prescriber. Quality of care and safety are of paramount importance at TD Aesthetics.

The clinic's aim is to help clients find their own kind of beautiful. Treatments include:

*microdiffusion treatments to improve the skin quality, reduce pore appearance and provide a radiant glow.

* to remove fine vellus hair from the face, and to exfoliate the skin.

All clients a free comprehensive consultation, to discuss their specific skin concerns, and to advise them on how best to maintain their skin, using recommended products at home. Reviews are after each treatment, to ensure the client is happy with the results or to make adjustments to the treatment plan.

All consultations, and reviews are carried out by a qualified nurse prescriber.

Botulinum toxin type A, know by the brand names Botox (Vistabel), (Azzalure) and Xeomin (Bocouture), is a naturally occurring protein produced by the bacterium clostridium botulinum. It is licensed as a prescription only medicine and can be used to treat like frown lines and crow`s feet as well as hyperhidrosis or excessive sweating. As a prescription only medicine, it requires a face-to-face consultation to determine your suitability for treatment.

The use of chemical peels to soften and improve the appearance of skin dates back to the ancient Egyptians. Today, scientists have identified numerous forms of acid which can be used to treat skin.

The drugs that are currently approved treatments for hair loss are Minoxidil, first discovered in the 1970’s and Propecia which has been used since the 1990’s.

Belotero ® is a new monophasic double crosslinked hyaluronic acid designed from biofermentation using Polydensified Matrix (CPM) technology to increase facial volume and fill wrinkles.
